Programme Overview

This course empowers wealth managers to integrate AI tools into client advisory and engagement process. Participants will deep dive into how Agentic AI empowers wealth managers to understand customer needs, provide personalised advices and spot any red flags in relations. Participants will learn how to gather relevant data and deploy AI-powered solutions for enhanced client engagement.

 

The course also examines the risks associated with AI adoption, including ethical and conduct considerations, and guides participants in monitoring, mitigating, and evaluating these risks. Through practical frameworks, learners will be equipped to implement ethical principles and resolve dilemmas with sound judgment in a fast-evolving digital wealth management and client advisory landscape.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participant will learn to:

  • How AI tools can be leveraged and applied as an enabler in the client engagement process and in investment decisions and processes.
  • Real-world applications of AI in client relationship management and investing through case studies.
  • Utilise AI-powered client engagement & advisory solutions.
  • Explain the various risks arising from the use of AI in investment and portfolio management
  • Monitor and mitigate risks arising from the use of AI in client relationship management and investment including ethics and conduct.
  • Determine and gather the data required for conducting client engagement and risk analyses
  • Evaluate risk management processes.
  • Explain and implement ethical principles in the use of AI in investment and portfolio management

Who Should Attend

This programme is designed for professionals in the financial services industry who work with high‑net‑worth clients or support wealth management functions. It is ideal for those seeking practical skills in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), as well as an understanding of the related compliance, ethical and risk considerations.

 

The programme is especially relevant for:

 

  • Client‑facing wealth and investment professionals
    Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors, Investment Management Professionals, Financial Advisors, and those supporting these functions who want to deepen their use of AI in client advisory, portfolio management, AML, and compliance processes.
  • Risk, governance, and support professionals
    Compliance, legal, risk management, IT professionals, accountants, consultants, audit specialists, 1.5 Line of Defence practitioners, and other functions supporting financial services who wish to develop AI skills relevant to AML and compliance risk management.

 

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 24 years of age
  • Minimum Education: Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum Work Experience: 2 years of working experience

Accreditation

This course is currently undergoing accreditation IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS). Upon successful accreditation, the course will be eligible for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

  • Client Investment Suitability (PL3)
The IBF-STS is available to eligible entities and individuals based on the prevalent funding eligibility, quantum and caps.  IBF-STS provides up to 70% course fee subsidy support for direct training costs subject to a cap of $3,000 per candidate per course subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

Participants are encouraged to access the IBF MySkills Portfolio (https://www.ibf.org.sg/home/for-individuals/resource-tools/myskills-portfolio) to track their training progress and skills acquisition against the Skills Framework for Financial Services. You can apply for IBF Certification after fulfilling the required number of Technical Skills and Competencies (TSCs) for the selected job role.
