What is the IAP?

The WMI Investment Accelerator Programme is designed in collaboration with industry leaders to empower university students and recent graduates aspiring to build successful careers in Singapore’s fast-growing financial sector. With a progressive learning pathway that transitions from fundamental concepts to advanced strategies, this programme will equip participants with the expertise and confidence to construct personal investment portfolios and to secure impactful internships and career opportunities with leading banks, asset managers, wealth managers, and other financial institutions.

Who Should Attend

Undergraduates/Fresh Graduates:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Year 2 onwards of university studies or fresh graduates (less than 2 years since year of graduation) who possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and above (on track for honours or equivalent)

*Candidates who do not meet the prerequisites will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Fees and Discount

The total number of study awards available for both programmes is up to 600. This is on first-come-first serve basis.

Subsidies Available

#WMI Study Award:

In a collaborative effort with MAS and IBF to bridge the talent gap in the financial sector, this award will provide specific learner groups support to develop requisite skills and competencies for pivoting their careers towards these areas of demand.

 

The WMI Study Award Committee will assess the following:

  • Year 2 onwards of university studies or recent graduates (less than 2 years since year of graduation) who possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and above (on track for honours or equivalent). WMI will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

 

IBF-STS subsidy:

This programme is accredited by the IBF. Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (below 40 years old), and physically based in Singapore will enjoy funding subsidy of 50% upon successful completion of the programme.

 

NTUC UTAP

NTUC Starter members can enjoy 50% unfunded course fee* support for up to $200 per year when you attend and complete courses supported under UTAP.

*Unfunded course fee refers to the balance course fee payable after applicable government subsidy.

Note:

  • All fees are subject to prevailing GST. In addition, qualified students are eligible for a WMI Study Award of $550 upon successful completion.
  • Students who are not Singaporeans or Permanent Residents will not be eligible for IBF funding support or WMI Study Award, but will enjoy the student concessionary course fee stated in the Fee table to join the IAP.
