Mr Lim Chow Kiat

Mr Lim Chow Kiat was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2017. He was previously Group Chief Investment Officer of GIC and Deputy Group President. He joined GIC as a portfolio manager upon university graduation in 1993 and subsequently rose to head the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Department. He was President, GIC Europe in 2009, overseeing investments and relationships in Europe, Africa and the Middle East before his appointment as President of GIC Asset Management in 2011. Mr Lim is the Chairman of Wealth Management Institute and serves on the boards of Nanyang Technological University, National Research Foundation, Enterprise Singapore and FCLTGlobal. He is also a member of Agence France Trésor’s Strategic Committee and the International Business Council.

Mr Lim holds a Bachelor’s degree (First Class Honours) in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University.

Ms Chew Gek Khim

Ms Chew Gek Khim is a lawyer by training. She has been Executive Chairman of The Straits Trading Company Limited since 24 April 2008.

Ms Chew is also Executive Chairman of the Tecity Group. In addition, she is Chairman of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad and ARA Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, and sits on the Board of Singapore Exchange Limited. She is also Deputy Chairman of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation.

She is a Member of the Board of Governors of S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, NUS Board of Trustees and the Governing Board of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

Ms Chew graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1984. She was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite in 2010, the Singapore Businessman of the Year 2014 at the Singapore Business Awards in 2015, and the Meritorious Service Medal at the National Day Awards in 2016. Ms Chew was conferred an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters (honoris causa) by the Nanyang Technology University in 2021.

Mrs Deborah Ong

Mrs Deborah Ong

Mrs Deborah Ong is currently chairperson of the Institute for Human Resources Professionals (IHRP). She also serves on the boards of SATS Ltd, CapitaLand India Trust, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at the Nanyang Technological University, Workforce Singapore and SkillsFuture Singapore, and is a member of the Judicial Service Commission.

Mrs Ong was a Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has extensive experience as a public accountant managing audits of large, listed clients and providing advisory services to clients in various industries. She also held leadership positions in PwC Singapore and in the PwC Global Network.

Mrs Ong graduated with an Honours degree in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia.

Mr Edmund Koh

Mr Edmund Koh

Mr Edmund Koh joined UBS in February 2012 as Group Managing Director, heading the UBS Wealth Management South East Asia and Asia Pacific Hub. He became a member of the Group Executive Board and was appointed President UBS Asia Pacific of UBS Group AG and UBS AG in January 2019. He was also Head Wealth Management Asia Pacific from 2016 – 2018 as well as Country Head Singapore from 2012 – February 2019.

Mr Koh is a strong advocate of talent management and community involvement. He launched the UBS Youth Finance Academy in 2014 to build the talent pipeline for Singapore’s financial industry and led and advocated 17 projects across Asia Pacific under the UBS COVID-19 Relief Funds of USD 30 million by UBS Group.

With more than 30 years’ experience in senior roles in financial services, Mr Koh is a board/council member of various committees including the MAS Financial Centre Advisory Panel, the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research, and the University of Toronto International Leadership Council. He was also named Distinguished Fellow by The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore in 2017.

Mr Koh had also served as a Board member at the Singapore Housing Development Board for a period of 12 years from 1998 to 2010, Vice-Chairman of the Singapore Sports Council from 2002 to 2010 and Director of Singapore Totalizator Board from 1998 to 2004.

Mr Koh holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto, Canada.

Ms Foo Mee Har

Ms Foo Mee Har

Ms Foo Mee Har is the CEO of the Wealth Management Institute (WMI) as well as a member of WMI’s Board of Trustees. Founded by GIC and Temasek, WMI is Asia’s Centre of Excellence for wealth and asset management education and research. Under Ms Foo’s leadership, WMI has grown to become a leading training provider delivering over 20,000 training places annually, serving wealth managers, asset managers, investment advisors, lawyers, trust professionals, wealth planners, high net-worth families and financial regulators across Asia. WMI helms the Global-Asia Family Office Circle, a network platform that fosters a trusted environment to build capabilities and community in the family office sector. The GFO Circle is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). WMI is also host of the Asia Centre for Changemakers, supported by Temasek Trust and the Philanthropy Asia Alliance.

Ms Foo also holds public office, elected as a Member of Parliament in Singapore since 2011. She is currently the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, a Select Committee of the Singapore Parliament. She is also the Vice Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee of Finance and Trade and Industry, and also serves as a member of the Government Parliamentary Committee of Education.

Ms Foo started her career in management consulting. Her private sector experience includes a two-decade stint with Standard Chartered Bank, during which she held a number of senior positions including Global Head for Priority Banking & International Banking covering 30 markets in Asia, Middle East and Africa; President & CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Thailand; as well as Country Head of Consumer Banking China. She brings over 30 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, including leading a diverse portfolio of international businesses.

Ms Foo graduated with a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia, with a major in Occupational Psychology. She has attended executive management programmes at the London Business School, Templeton College (Oxford University), and INSEAD.

She is married with 2 sons, has lived and worked in several countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, China, and Thailand.

Ms Jacqueline Loh

Ms Jacqueline Loh

Ms Jacqueline Loh is Deputy Managing Director overseeing Corporate Development in MAS. She oversees the Organisation & People Development, Technology, and Finance, Risk & Currency Groups.

Prior to this appointment, Ms Loh served as Deputy Managing Director for Markets & Development, and Assistant Managing Director for Policy, Risk and Surveillance. Ms Loh has also had experience working in MAS’ New York Office, between 1990 and 1994. Ms Loh joined MAS in 1987, after graduating with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. She was awarded the Public Administration (Gold) Medal in 2018.

Mr Lee Yuan Siong

Mr Lee Yuan Siong

Mr Lee Yuan Siong became Executive Director and Group Chief Executive and President of AIA Group on 1 June 2020.

Prior to joining AIA, he was an executive director of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. from June 2013, and served as the company’s co-CEO and Chief Insurance Business Officer. During his more than 15 years with Ping An, he held several senior management positions including Chairman and CEO of Ping An Life.

Before that he has held a number of senior leadership positions with Prudential plc of the United Kingdom, including President of CITIC-Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, a life insurance joint venture in Mainland China, and he has significant experience across a number of other Asian markets. He began his career at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Mr Lee is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (US) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (US). He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Geneva Association. He holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of Cambridge (1993) and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1989).

Mr Lee has received multiple awards and honors for his contributions to the development of the Chinese insurance industry, including the prestigious Chinese Government Friendship Award and recognition as one of the 40 Most Influential Foreign Experts in 40 Years of China’s Reform and Opening-up.

Dr Neo Boon Siong

Dr Neo Boon Siong

Dr Neo Boon Siong retired from the Nanyang Technological University as the CANON Endowed Chair Professor and twice served as Dean of the Nanyang Business School. He served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Singapore Navigators and is an independent Director of Chip Eng Seng Ltd. He was previously Chairman of k1 Ventures Ltd and Director on the Boards of OCBC, Great Eastern, OUE Hospitality Trust and other listed companies.

Dr Neo received a Public Administration Medal (Silver) from the President of the Republic of Singapore in the 1999 National Day Honours Awards and is the lead author of the best-selling book on Dynamic Governance: Embedding Culture, Capabilities and Change that was launched by Singapore’s President SR Nathan in July 2007.

With 40 years of professional experience, Dr Neo is a leading expert in public sector governance, business strategy, process management and organizational change. His paper on Business Process Innovation won the Best Overall Paper Award in the 1993 IT Works conference and his book on Exploiting IT for Business Competitiveness was a recipient of the Highly Commended Award in the 1996 Singapore Book Awards.

Dr Neo is a Chartered Accountant (Singapore) and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from the National University of Singapore, and MBA and PhD degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, USA.

Ms Png Chin Yee

Ms Png Chin Yee

Ms Png Chin Yee joined Temasek in July 2011 and is currently Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Her prior roles in Temasek include Head, Financial services, Senior Managing Director, China and Senior Managing Director, Portfolio Strategy and Risk Group.

Prior to joining Temasek, Ms. Png was Managing Director with UBS AG where she was Joint Head of the Financial Institutions Group in the Investment Bank for Asia.

Ms. Png holds a Bachelor of Accountancy with 1st class honours from the Nanyang Technological University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Dr Sung Cheng Chih

Dr Sung Cheng Chih

Dr Sung Cheng Chih started his investment career at GIC in 1993 and retired as Chief Risk Officer in 2011. Subsequently, he served in advisory or board capacity with government, financial and research institutions including the central banks and finance ministries in Norway, Singapore and Thailand, the MIT endowment and the national pension fund in Saudi Arabia.

In 2015, Dr Sung co-founded Avanda Investment Management, a Singapore-based global asset manager. Since retiring in 2021, Dr Sung has been working with start-ups in diverse fields including finance, sustainable investing, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, asset digitalisation and long/short equity investing.

Dr Sung studied mathematics first at the University of Waterloo and later at the University of Minnesota.

Ms Susan Soh

Ms Susan Soh

Ms Susan Soh is Co-Chief Executive Officer at Avanda.

Prior to joining Avanda, Ms Soh worked at Schroders Investment Management for 18 years, first as Head of Distribution, SEA, then as CEO of Singapore covering SEA markets from Singapore and finally as CEO of Asia Pacific, responsible for Schroders’ businesses in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan. Singapore/SEA and Indonesia before retiring as a Senior Advisor at the end of 2023. Ms Soh was a member of Schroders’ Group Management Committee and also represented Schroders in an asset management joint venture with Nippon Life and a nature-based solutions joint venture with Conservational International as a Board Director. Prior to Schroders, Ms Soh’s experiences were in audit with Arthur Anderson, and in capital markets and investment management with SG Warburg, Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank.

Ms Soh also served on the Board of Advisors for the Singapore Green Finance Centre from 2021 to 2022. She was conferred the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Distinguished Fellow Award (Fund Management) in 2015. She sat on the Executive Committee of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) serving as the Vice Chair from November 2016 before her appointment to the Chair from April 2019 to December 2022.

Ms Soh has been a passionate advocate of raising industry standards and driving professional excellence. She served as Council Member of the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) from April 2019 to December 2022, was previously a member of the IBF Standards Committee and chaired the IBF Fund Management Working Group from August 2013 to December 2019. Since 2021, Ms Soh has been serving on the Board of Trustees of the Wealth Management Institute and the Singapore Institute of Technology.

Ms Soh holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore. She has also completed a course at the NUS Business School on Climate Change and Sustainability: Leveraging Carbon Market Initiatives for Business.
