The Advanced Diploma in Investment and Wealth Management (ADIWM) is a leading programme specially designed for those who want to build deeper expertise as an investment or wealth management professional.
ADIWM provides a specialised and structured learning pathway for Investment and Wealth Management professionals in financial services as well as those who are looking to join the sector, to acquire technical skills and competencies as defined under the Asset Management, Family Office, Private Banking and Wealth Management job families within the national Skills Framework for Financial Services, jointly developed by the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Workforce Singapore (WSG).
ADIWM provides a solid foundation and enables its graduands to network with like-minded professionals working in Financial Advisory, Family Office and Wealth Management sectors, and potentially seek career opportunities in these areas as well.
ADIWM offers a more flexible structure, being designed with core modules and elective module tracks for those who wish to delve deeper into specialist elective area. ADIWM is structured with 6 core modules which are mandatory to be undertaken, and a selection of one out of 5 electives.
The core modules represent fundamental principles and content common across investment and wealth management disciplines. The elective modules help participants explore and develop their areas of focus and/or specialisation.
The module comprises of two parts.
Investment Principles module offers an immersive online experience, designed to equip participants with a profound understanding of market dynamics, cycles, and proven investment strategies. Crafted for both novices and seasoned professionals, this asynchronous learning platform allows learners to explore Dalio’s groundbreaking principles at their own pace. With a blend of rich content, real-world case studies, and interactive assessments, participants will immerse themselves through real-world case-based examples and gain actionable insights to navigate the complexities of the modern financial landscape.
This module includes access to the Portfolio Builder Tool, allowing learners to apply theoretical knowledge in a simulated environment. This hands-on experience is invaluable in understanding the practical aspects of portfolio construction and risk management.

The Certificate for Introduction to ESG Advisory is a one-day module that is a combination of the Certificate in ESG Landscape and Impact on Business and the Certificate in Sustainable Investment Management.
The module introduces the basic concepts of ESG. Sustainable investments are critical to addressing the energy transition, which has a multi-trillion-dollar capital requirement. UHNW clients and family offices are increasingly demanding that both financial performance and non-financial factors, such as ESG, be considered.

The Certificate in Multi-Asset Investing is a 2.5-day module to help you better understand performance drivers in both public and private markets, and how to construct effective portfolios using a variety of different approaches. Whether you are an asset allocator, portfolio manager, investment specialist, wealth advisor or family office professional, this programme will help you hone your ability to construct effective multi-asset strategies to achieve your investment objective.

Alternative investments are typically used as a means of diversification within an investment portfolio and have grown in popularity over time. Investors are increasingly looking upon alternative investments as a source of market outperformance.
This module aims to provide a good overview of the different types of alternative investments, their risk-reward profiles and also discusses some of the common misperceptions of this space.

Participant will be taking the “Client and Investor Management Toolkit” module for this elective.
This module aims to teach participants the importance of Strategic Vision & Critical Thinking in the Digital Age.
Participants will also learn key communication skills and be taught how to make effective pitches to clients.

Participant will be taking the “Client Management Skills” module for this elective.
This module covers the critical skills required to acquire and build sustainable relationships. It is designed with the objective of achieving a clear understanding of what constitutes a successful client management strategy. The use of role plays and class simulations will be incorporated into the session to provide participants with the opportunities to practice what they have learnt.
Topics include a framework for establishing rapport and techniques for enhancing trust with clients, proven techniques for more effective negotiations, strategies to managing the pipeline, identifying opportunities and expanding connections.
The module also covers understanding client segmentation, adopting an entrepreneurial approach to building a client book and how to leverage on internal resources to help your clients.

Family Office Investments -Through this module, participants will understand the fiduciary duty of the family office executive in managing assets across generations. Participants will examine the needs of the family in deciding investment principles with emphasis on the longevity and preservation of capital across generations.

Managing Family Dynamics -This module offers a comprehensive exploration of Family Dynamics, focusing on the Family Office landscape in Singapore and globally. Delegates will gain insights into the Family Office ecosystem, examining different structures used across generations throughout history. The module delves into the rationale behind these structures, providing valuable context and understanding.
Additionally, participants will acquire knowledge about the governance of family offices, exploring the varying levels of complexity in their management. Furthermore, the module will address essential aspects of family dynamics, equipping participants with tools to navigate family conflicts and prioritise effectively.

Digital Assets Investment Strategies and Risks – The module is designed to provide individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage the investment and portfolio risks associated with digital assets. The module covers various topics such as an overview of the digital asset ecosystem, investment and risk management portfolio, and regulatory compliance – overall and in the Singapore context.
The module will equip professionals in the finance, investment, legal, and blockchain industries with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital assets ecosystem. Our program is also beneficial for individuals interested in investing in digital assets for their personal portfolios.

Digital Assets – Regulatory & Compliance -Regulators worldwide have introduced regulatory frameworks to regulate digital assets such as digital payment tokens, stablecoins, utility tokens, digital securities. Based on blockchain and distributed ledger technology, new business models and players have emerged.
The emerging financial landscape including decentralized finance with new digital/virtual asset classes, new business activities products and services and expanded customer segments and access present opportunities, rewards and risks with attendant, legal, regulatory and compliance considerations.

Participant will be taking the “Data-Science and Fintech” module for this elective.
This module will provide an understanding of the importance of having a digital mindset in a fast-changing technological landscape. It will trace the evolution of financial technology in the global financial market and how institutions and regulators are adjusting to this disruptive force.
These new technologies come with new threats, requiring a good understanding of cybersecurity, digital hygiene and integrity, and best practices in digital risk management.
