Programme Overview

This course empowers professionals who play key roles in supporting asset and wealth management functions. Participants will explore AI-driven asset allocation, risk modelling, and stress testing using real-world case studies. They will learn how to gather relevant data, apply AI in portfolio construction, and deploy AI-powered solutions for enhanced client engagement.

 

The course also examines the risks associated with AI adoption, including ethical and conduct considerations, and guides participants in monitoring, mitigating, and evaluating these risks. Through practical frameworks, learners will be equipped to implement ethical principles and resolve dilemmas with sound judgment in a fast-evolving digital investment landscape.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participant will learn to:

  • Understand how Gen AI can be applied as enabler and integrate AI tools into investment processes
  • Understand and apply AI-driven asset allocation and risk modelling.
  • Real-world applications of AI in investing through case studies.
  • Utilise AI-powered client engagement & advisory solutions.
  • Explain the various risks arising from the use of AI in investment and portfolio management including FEAT principles and MindForge framework
  • Monitor and mitigate risks arising from the use of AI in investment and portfolio management, including FEAT principles and MindForge framework
  • Determine and gather the data required for conducting risk analyses, risk modelling and/or stress tests
  • Evaluate risk management processes.
  • Explain and implement ethical principles in the use of AI in investment and portfolio management

Who Should Attend

This programme is ideal for financial industry professionals with at least two years of relevant experience who want to build practical skills in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to asset management. It is also well suited for those seeking a deeper understanding of the compliance, legal, ethical, privacy, and risk considerations associated with AI adoption in financial services.

 

The programme is especially relevant for Relationship Managers, Investment Counselors, Investment Management Professionals, Financial Advisors, and those advising or supporting these functions who aspire to enhance their use of AI tools across client advisory, investment management, and AML and compliance risk management processes.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 24 years of age

Accreditation

This course has been accredited under the Skills Framework for Financial Services / IBF Standards: Future-Enabled Skills and is eligible for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

 

Participants are advised to assess the suitability of the course and its relevance to his/her business activities or job roles.

The IBF-STS is available to eligible entities and individuals based on the prevalent funding eligibility, quantum and caps.  IBF-STS provides up to 70% course fee subsidy support for direct training costs subject to a cap of S3,000 per candidate per course subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

You can apply for IBF Certification after fulfilling the required number of Technical Skills and Competencies (TSCs) for the selected job role.
