Dr Aaron Low

Dr Aaron Low is Chairperson of WMI Expert Panel for Investment Advisory and Product Strategies and has been teaching at WMI since 2003. Aaron is CEO of LUMIQ, Principal at Lumen Advisors and Board Chairman of the CFA Research Foundation (US). Aaron is currently a Board Director at Triumph Capital (Singapore), Guotai Junan Fund (HK) Value Funds, and the Journal of Futures Markets (US). He is also Advisor at Hashkey Capital, SMU and CFA Singapore.

Previously, Aaron was Head of Portfolio Management (Asia x Japan) at PIMCO managing global and EM investments. His investment teams won several Lipper and Morningstar investment awards for global bonds and emerging markets. Prior to PIMCO, he was Head of Fixed Income, Asia for RCM Global Investors (San Francisco), managing global balanced and fixed income portfolios. Aaron was Chairman, Board of Governors of the CFA Institute (US). He was Board Trustee for Singapore Government Pension Fund and was on the boards of WMI, iMAS, BNP Paribas Hedge Fund Center. He has served as Senior Advisor to Harvest Fund Management (Beijing), Bosera Asset Management (Shenzhen) and Minsheng Tonghui Asset Management (Shanghai).

Aaron has a PhD in International Financial Economics from Anderson School, UCLA, and completed graduate programs at Stanford and Chicago universities. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is Adjunct Professor at CEIBS, NUS, SMU, and also teaches at ESSEC and NTU.

Dr Anser Aftab

Dr. Anser Aftab, Lead Faculty for Dalio Market Principles Online (DMPO) brings a rare combination of deep academic expertise and real-world investment experience, making him uniquely positioned to guide participants through Ray Dalio’s investment framework.

He holds a PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge, where he graduated with Distinction and set records for academic excellence. His career spans high-impact investment research and macroeconomic strategy, including a senior leadership role at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund managing ~$160 billion in institutional assets.

At Bridgewater, Dr. Aftab led Political Economy & Policy Research, delivering key insights to Chief Investment Officers (CIOs) on fiscal policy, monetary trends, global trade, and geopolitical risks. His expertise also extends to machine learning applications in investing, debt crises analysis, and global currency strategies. He has directly contributed to Ray Dalio’s book, Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises (2018). His academic rigor and investment acumen will be instrumental in helping you navigate Dalio’s principles and apply them effectively in real-world market dynamics.

Mr Anuj Kagalwala

Anuj is a partner at PwC Singapore and leads PwC’s private wealth sector for Asia Pacific.​

Anuj has spent most of his time dealing with international advisory work. Anuj has provided extensive consulting advice to family offices, private banks and trust companies on various areas, including structuring of investments, setting up of family offices and entry strategies into Asia.​

Anuj is actively involved in discussing family office, asset management and wealth management issues with the relevant authorities, industry associations and key stakeholders in the industry. Anuj enjoys public speaking and also teaching. He teaches at the Family Office Foundation Course at the Wealth Management Institute of Singapore.​

Anuj’s key family office clients include families from the US, Europe, Middle East, Singapore, South East Asia, China and India. His clients in the wider asset management sector include regional as well as global fund managers focussing on private equity, real estate, infrastructure, hedge and liquid trading strategies.​

Mr Baron Chan Pat Yim

Baron is the Head of Research and Macroeconomics, overseeing the overall processes and efforts across macroeconomics (DM and EM), credit and quant research, and making sure they are aligned and integrated into the overall investment process within the Fixed Income & Treasury Department at ADIA. He is responsible for coming up with high level macro and market views, guiding investment discussions and portfolio exposures. In addition to fundamental sovereign and credit research, Baron and his teams focus on generation and analysis of investment strategies. Baron also works closely together with CIO and Head of internal fixed income on building up TAA investment processes, portfolio construction and risk management toolkits.

Mr Bruno Roche

Bruno Roche is a pioneering figure in the realm of impact economy and management innovation, best known for founding the Economics of Mutuality. Unlike traditional economic and social systems, which operate on the premise of creating value first (capitalism) before sharing it (socialism), this breakthrough management innovation and new school of thought flips the process. It integrates from the outset the sharing of benefits (mutuality) directly into the value-creation process. The result? Enhanced value for all stakeholders, including the environment, and a fairer distribution of wealth (mutualism).

He is the former Chief Economist at Mars Incorporated, where he led the development of the Economics of Mutuality for 15 years, between the mid 2000’s and 2020, in close collaboration with Oxford Saïd Business School before establishing it as a non-profit platform in 2020 – with the support of Mars Incorporated.

He co-founded Centers for the Economics of Mutuality with Oxford Saïd Business School (UK), CEIBS (Shanghai, China), and Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Rotterdam School of Management, NL).

In 2024, he launched ONE Society, a global non-profit platform. This initiative pushes the Economics of Mutuality beyond business, driving toward “a just society and mutual prosperity.” By reforming management education, reshaping policymaking, and applying this paradigm to cities, it aims to create a lasting, transformative impact.

He co-edited the Oxford University Press book “Putting Purpose into Practice: the Economics of Mutuality” and co-authored the book “Completing Capitalism – Heal Business to Heal the World.” Both books have been translated into Chinese.

He is a Senior Fellow at the Wharton School’s ESG Initiative and a participant in the Nazarian Social Innovator Series. Additionally, he holds a Senior Fellowship at the Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands) and serves as a Senior Advisor to Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He is also a member of the S&P Global Sustainable Finance Scientific Council, a founding board member of the China Impact Investment Network, an expert advisor to the World Economic Forum, and a board member of the UN Global Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).

His academic education and doctoral research followed a path in applied mathematics with specializations in international economics, international finance, and management sciences.

Prof David Lee

David Lee Kuo Chuen is a Professor of Financial Technology and Blockchain at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), a Distinguished Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS), a Council Member of the British Blockchain Association, and Editor-in-Chief or Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Fintech and Annual Review of Fintech.

Meanwhile, Professor Lee is also an internationally renowned scholar and industry opinion leader in the field of blockchain, an expert in the development of WEB3 and Artificial Intelligence (AI) application scenarios, the Chairman of the Global FinTech Institute (GFI), a co-founder of the Singapore Blockchain Association, a co-founder of the Blockchain Security Alliance, a CBDC advisor to the Asian Development Bank, Vice Chairman of the Economic Society of Singapore (ESS), a cryptocurrency advisor to the Asian Institute of Digital Finance (AIDF) of NUS, an advisor to the SUSS Node for inclusive FinTech (NiFT), an independent director of several listed companies in Singapore, an angel investor in blockchain, WEB3, inclusive finance and AI innovation, a senior advisor and Investment Committee member of Artichoke Capital which is backed by institutional limited partners, including sovereign wealth funds.

Professor Lee previously served as a Senior Advisor to the President of Singapore Management University (SMU), Dean of the Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economic (SKBI) in Singapore, a member of the Research Council of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), a member of the Technical Advisory Committee of Ping An OneConnect, an independent director of Lu Global in Singapore, and long taught at the Mayor’s Class in Singapore. In addition, Professor LEE served as an international consultant to the Distributed Trust Research Project at Stanford University, CEO of listed companies OUE Enterprise and Auric Pacific, a researcher at Harvard University – National University of Singapore (1991-1993), a Fulbright Scholar at Stanford University in 2015, the founder of hedge fund Ferrell Asset Management, and the founder of real estate developer Ferrell Residences.

Prof Denise Kenyon-Rouvinez

Professor Denise Kenyon-Rouvinez is the Principal Programme Director of WMI’s Family Office Programmes. She is also appointed Temasek Fellow at WMI and will also contribute to the development of research and thought leadership for Family Office, further contributing to WMI’s Family Office ambitions. Denise also teaches for the Master of Science in Asset and Wealth Management. She is a regular speaker around the world including at the World Economic Forum where she is a member of its Expert Network. Denise has received several awards for her research work and is also author and co-author of several books on the topic of family business. Denise is the former director of the Global Family Business Centre at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland, where she launched and ran their global family office programme and also served as The Wild Group Professor of Family Business, directing its Leading the Family Business and Leading the Family Office programmes. Denise was also previously Executive VP – Head of International Family Business & Philanthropy at Coutts Private Bank, and also worked for UBS and Credit Suisse.

Denise holds a PhD in Management from HEC Lausanne in collaboration with IMD. She is a certified coach working with the Solution Focused Coaching approach (based on brief therapies and positive psychology). She is an accredited Life Orientations (Lifo®) Licensee, Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) certified and a qualified Emotional Intelligence (EQ-I 2.0) assessor and trainer.

Mr Desmond Teo

Desmond is EY Asia-Pacific Family Enterprise Leader and a partner at Ernst & Young Solutions LLP focusing on business tax advisory and private clients.

As one of the pioneering tax advisors for funds and family offices in Singapore, he has extensive experience helping clients with end-to-end solutions for their business structures and operations, ranging from business setup and acquisition to debt or capital restructuring, tax incentives, tax compliance, and exit planning.

He works closely with leading private banks to help their clients navigate through the interconnected requirements of corporate tax, personal tax, FATCA/CRS and operational tax.

Desmond is a regular speaker at conferences around the region. He contributes regularly to industry publications, and his insights are sought by the Singapore authorities and major newspapers.

Desmond graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (Hons). He is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, and an Accredited Tax Advisor of Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals Limited.”

Mr Eddie Gan

Eddie Gan is a veteran banker with industry-recognised domain expertise in wealth management. Eddie is the Chairperson of WMI Expert Panel for Client Relationship Management and a member of our Faculty.

Eddie holds the title of IBF Fellow for Wealth Management, a distinguished title conferred upon industry specialists and veterans who have demonstrated mastery of a profession and exemplify thought leadership and commitment to industry development. He also served as a member of the IBF Private Banking Industry Workgroup to identify core competencies and skills and encourage the adoption of the IBF Standards as a benchmark in the training and development of finance professionals.

Eddie has more than 30 years of banking experience in wealth management and corporate banking. Most recently, Eddie was the Managing Director and Market Head at UBS Wealth Management where he led a market team of more than 100 client advisors, assistants and compliance support staff focused on serving family offices, ultra-high net worth and high net worth clientele. Prior to wealth management, Eddie was a corporate banker covering real estate financing.

Eddie possesses a MBA in Accounting from the University of British Columbia, Canada and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.

Mr Edmund Leow

Edmund is a senior partner at Dentons Rodyk, with three decades of experience in advising multinational organisations on cross-border tax planning, transfer pricing and tax disputes. He also leads the firm’s Trust, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice and advises high net worth individuals, private banks and trust companies in personal tax, as well as in trust and estate planning matters.​

Prior to his role at Dentons Rodyk, Edmund also served as a Judicial Commissioner at the Supreme Court of Singapore from 2013 to 2016, appointed Senior Counsel for the Supreme Court since 2018, and Managing Principal of the law firm Baker & McKenzie. ​

Edmund holds a BA (First Class Honours), Law, from the University of Cambridge.He is the co-founder and current President of the Singapore Trustees Association (STA), which represents the interests of trust companies in Singapore. Edmund was also appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Income Tax Board of Review.

Mr Edoardo Collevecchio

Edoardo joined Oppenheimer Generations, a South African single-family office, as Chief of Staff in 2016. In this role, he led the establishment of family office operations globally following the family’s sale of De Beers.

He relocated to Singapore in 2021, and now oversees Oppenheimer Generations’ presence in Asia, representing the family office’s broader interests in the region as well as managing the Asian portfolio, with a focus on early and growth-stage investments. Edoardo previously held roles at Barclays Bank in London and New York, working directly for the bank’s Group CEO. He holds a BA in International Studies from Warwick University, an MSc in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and an MBA at the Chicago Booth School of Business.

Since his move to Singapore, Edoardo has been active within the local family office ecosystem. Amongst other responsibilities, he is part of the teaching faculty for the Wealth Management Institute (WMI), as well as a member of its Family Office Circle.

Dr Eric Sandosham

Dr. Eric Sandosham is a member of WMI Expert Panel and teaches our postgraduate and certification programmes including our Master of Science in Asset and Wealth Management, as well as our Certified Private Banker programmes. Eric is a veteran in business analytics and is a decision science advocate. He is a Co-Founder and Partner of Red & White Consulting Partners LLP and a former board member with the Singapore Land Authority.

In prior appointments, Eric was the Managing Director and Asia Pacific Head of Decision Management at Citibank where he led a team of 330 analysts embedded across 14 countries. He has spoken extensively on the topic of Analytics at conferences hosted by Asian Banker, Forrester, CNET and SAS. He founded the SAS User Group (Singapore) and served as the Chairman of the Executive Committee. He was awarded the Outstanding Science Alumnus Award by the National University of Singapore and the Industry Leader Award by the Analytics Hall of Fame. Eric possesses a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business from Singapore Management University, a Master of Science in Statistics from National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Mathematics from National University of Singapore. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University Singapore and an affiliate faculty at Singapore Management University

Ms Esme Hodson

Esme has worked in International compliance and is a risk executive experienced in leading teams of professionals in compliance advisory and risk, implementation of global regulatory and control frameworks, consultation and advocacy. She has strong execution capabilities and proven track record in financial technology, including digital banking and blockchain/digital assets, insurance, retail banking and asset management across multiple jurisdictions. Esme is also experienced in applying and building compliance frameworks for new technologies, including financial crime, interpreting existing regulations and maximising positioning for future changes and advocacy.

Prof Gao Hao (Tony)

GAO Hao (Tony) is the Director of Research Center for Global Family Business and an Associate Director of Research Center for Green Finance at PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University. He is a Co-Editor-in-chief of Wealth Management Journal, and the Editor-in-chief of Family Governance Series and Family Wealth Series. He teaches in the Master, MBA, DBA and Executive Education Programs at Tsinghua University. He is the Faculty Chair of Investment Banking, Wealth Management and Private Banking and Family Business Management, and the Academic Director of Executive Education Programs on Family Business, Family Office and Philanthropy Leadership.

He is a member of Global Future Councils/Expert Network of World Economic Forum (WEF), a council member of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce’s Thinktank, a board member and the Public Policy Chair of STEP China Committee, a board member and research fellow of China Enterprise Reform and Development Society (CERDS), and an associate chair of China Will Registration Center’s Academic Committee.

His research focuses on family business, wealth management, corporate finance, family philanthropy and green finance. He has published 8 books, as well as 200+ academic papers, policy papers and case studies in leading academic, policy and professional journals. He has co-authored 10 cases in the Harvard Business School Case Collection, including the first Chinese family office case, the first Asian private banking case and the first Asian university foundation case.

Gao is the principle investigator of numerous research projects, including grants from People’s Bank of China (PBoC), China Ministry of Commerce, China Ministry of Education, China Ministry of Civil Affairs, China Banking Association, China Association for Public Companies, China Investment Corporation (CIC), Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UBS and HSBC.

He advises both public and private sector frequently, including People’s Bank of China (PBoC), China Ministry of Finance, China Ministry of Commerce, China Ministry of Civil Affairs, National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA), China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and Hong Kong Government, as well as serving on the boards of several Fortune 500 Companies, leading financial institutions, and philanthropy foundations in China and the world.

Gao has won numerous research awards, including the China Society for Private-Sector Economy Best Research Award (5 times), the Lixiang Mao Family Business Research Award (3 times), as well as several Distinguished Teaching Awards. His research and viewpoints are profiled in leading media in China and abroad, such as CCTV, CGTN, CNBC, Financial Times, Economist, Bloomberg, Businessweek and Caixin.

He earned a bachelor’s degree (engineering), a Ph.D. degree (management) and two post-doctorates (finance and economics) from Tsinghua University, and a bachelor’s degree (economics) from Peking University. He holds Harvard Business School Corporate Director Certificate and Temasek Fellowship of Wealth Management Institute.

Mr Henk De Glint

Henk De Glint teaches Client Relationship Management and Leadership courses at WMI. He is also a member of WMI’s Expert Panel for the Certified Private Banker Programme. He has been involved with the Institute since it’s beginning in 2003.

Henk is a senior wealth management professional and a respected leader in the financial industry with 30  years of extensive experience in private banking, capital markets as well as family and corporate advisory services in Asia.

Based in Singapore since 1994, he has held various senior private banking and leadership roles covering Singapore and South East Asia. Over the course of his career, he worked for ABN AMRO, MeesPierson (“the Private Bankers of Fortis”), UBS Wealth Management and JP Morgan Private Bank.

He formerly served on the Financial Services Working Group of the Singapore Government 2002 Economic Review Committee; “Positioning Singapore as a pre-eminent Financial Centre in Asia”.

Henk De Glint holds a Master in Economics (Business Administration), Cum Laude Honours, from Groningen University in the Netherlands.

Prof Joseph Liow

Prof Joseph Chinyong Liow is Dean of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore; and immediate past Dean of College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he was also Tan Kah Kee Chair in Comparative and International Politics, and Professor and former Dean at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies. He held the inaugural Lee Kuan Yew Chair in Southeast Asia Studies at the Brookings Institution, Washington DC, where he was also a Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Program.

Joseph’s research interests encompass Muslim politics and social movements in Southeast Asia and the geopolitics and geoeconomics of the Asia-Pacific region.

Joseph is the author, co-author, or editor of 16 books including Dictionary of the Modern Politics of Southeast Asia, 5th Edition (Routledge, 2022) and Islam and Political Power in Indonesia and Malaysia: The Role of Tarbiyah and Dakwah in the Evolution of Islamism, Cambridge Element (Cambridge University Press, 2022). A regular columnist for the Straits Times, his commentaries on international affairs have also appeared in New York Times, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, National Interest, Nikkei Asian Review, Wall Street Journal, and South China Morning Post.  He has testified to the United States Congress and been invited to deliver a special closed door briefing to the ASEAN Defence Minister’s Meeting.  In addition to scholarship and policy analysis, Joseph has also consulted for a wide range of MNCs including Shell, BHP Billiton, Chevron, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Temasek, Total, and Statoil. He sits on the board of several peer-reviewed academic and policy journals, is Singapore’s representative on the Experts and Eminent Persons Group of the ASEAN Regional Forum, and was recently invited to join the Trilateral Commission as a member of the Singapore delegation. He also sits on the board of the Social Science Research Council (Singapore), ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, and the National Arts Council.

He holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MSc in Strategic Studies from the Nanyang Technological University, and a BA (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Madison-Wisconsin.

Mr Kelvin Tay

Kelvin is the Chief Investment Officer (South Asia Pacific) at UBS Global Wealth Management, where he serves as a key voting member of the UBS WM Asia-Pacific Investment Committee. He provides strategic cross-asset investment research and insights to the asset allocation process. He is a senior investment leader, spearheading Asian multi-asset investments spanning traditional and alternative investments for 27 years, offering expertise in portfolio positions and performance.

Kelvin is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University’s Nanyang Business School, where he lectures on Macroeconomics, Cycles, Bubbles & Crises and Investment Products & Advisory Strategy in the Masters in Asset & Wealth Management programme. NTU is ranked 19th in the world by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, 2022. Kelvin was awarded the Teacher of the Year award in 2022.

Kelvin is also a Lead Lecturer at the Wealth Management Institute, where he teaches the Advanced Diploma in Financial Management, the Asset Management Accelerator Programme, the Certified Private Banker courses amongst others. Kelvin has been awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award by Wealth Management Institute (WMI) in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and was conferred the WMI Ambassador award in 2020.

Globally, Kelvin is one of our most sought-after speakers in UBS. He is a bi-monthly guest host on CNBC Asia and a regular commentator on international broadcast media such as Bloomberg TV, ChannelNews Asia…etc. He also contributes byline articles on a regular basis to The Business Times, Hong Kong Economic Times, The Edge and other publications.

Kelvin first joined UBS Wealth Management Asia in April 2006. Prior to joining UBS, Kelvin held numerous responsibilities at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management (Asia). As the Asian Equities Strategist, he was responsible for equity allocation and managed an Asian equities portfolio. He was also responsible for selecting underlying equities for the private bank’s structured products and for conducting funds research.

From 2002 to 2004, Kelvin was a regional telecoms analyst at JPMorgan Chase where he was consistently rated in the top 4 in surveys such as Asia Money and Institutional Investor. From 2000 to 2002, he was also a regional telecoms analyst with ABN AMRO (Asia) Ltd in Hong Kong, where his team was ranked No. 1 in the 2000 Greenwich survey. He was also ranked 3rd in AsiaMoney’s regional telecoms analyst survey in 2001. Prior to that, Kelvin worked at Overseas Union Bank in Singapore as a credit analyst in loan syndications & capital markets.

Kelvin received his MBA (finance specialisation) from Imperial College, University of London in 1999, where he was awarded a distinction for his Master’s Thesis. He also holds Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore.

Prof Lawrence Loh

Prof Lawrence Loh is a Visiting Professor at Wealth Management Institute. He is also Director, Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS) at NUS Business School, National University of Singapore where he is Professor in Practice of Strategy and Policy.

At CGS, Prof Loh leads key sustainability initiatives for Asia-Pacific, ASEAN and Singapore. He steers the Singapore Governance and Transparency Index and ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. Prof Loh also heads studies on business integrity and leadership diversity.

In the specific domain of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), Prof Loh has extensive professional engagements in the Asia-Pacific region. He directs the CGS initiative that is commissioned by the Singapore Exchange to conduct sustainability assessments of all listed companies on the Exchange. He also heads the ASEAN sustainability reporting initiative covering 6 countries in collaboration with ASEAN CSR Network and steered the Asia-Pacific sustainability reporting assessment covering 14 jurisdictions with PwC. Prof Loh was a lead investigator on a study in sustainable banking for all listed banks in ASEAN in collaboration with WWF. Recently, he spearheaded a study on climate reporting in ASEAN with GRI as well as another on nature and biodiversity reporting in Asia Pacific at CGS.

Prof Loh is a regular commentator on governance and sustainability issues for leading global and local media. He has a citation and commentary count of 500-600 per year, including numerous front-page headlines, across media worldwide.

Mr Lee Woon Shiu

Woon Shiu has over 20 years of expertise in marketing, client development and professional training aspects of Family Office structuring, Trust, High-Net-Worth Life Insurance strategies and Estate Planning services in Asia Pacific. He is currently the Managing Director and Group Head at DBS Bank, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Nanyang Technological University.​

In previous capacities, he served as the Vice President, Regional Banker at Merrill Lynch, the Head of Wealth Planning Trust & Insurance at ING Asia Private Bank and the Managing Director & Head of Wealth Planning Trust & Insurance at the Bank of Singapore. Woon Shiu has been cited as a Top Gun in family offices advising billionaires in recognition of his expertise in advising multi-generations of ultra-high net worth families in the region.​

Woon Shiu graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore, where he was a Law Society of Singapore Book Prize Winner. Mr Leonardo Drago

Leonardo is an entrepreneur, lecturer and philanthropist with more than 20 years’ experience in the financial sector. He co-founded AL Wealth Partners Pte Ltd, a Singapore based specialty firm for global accredited and institutional investors, which is now part of AlTi. He frequently lectures at higher learning institutions in Asia and Europe, including the Singapore Wealth Management Institute, and contributes ideas about investments and financial news to the Singapore Business Times and Channel News Asia.

Leonardo supports multiple causes and organisations that strengthen communities throughout Singapore and Asia, from increasing access to education and hospice care to eliminating malnutrition and human trafficking.

Leonardo holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School Heriot-Watt University.

Ms Loretta Yuen

Ms Loretta Yuen was appointed General Counsel and Head of Group Legal and Compliance in September 2010 and Group Managing Director in June 2015. She oversees the full spectrum of legal and regulatory risks, including anti-money laundering, across OCBC Bank and its subsidiaries, and provides advice on regulatory risks and legal issues involved in decisions to management, so that management can make informed strategic choices within an acceptable legal and regulatory risk profile.

Ms Yuen has over 20 years of legal and regulatory experience in banking and finance. She graduated with Second Class Honours in Law from the National University of Singapore and is an IBF Distinguished Fellow. In 2017, Ms Yuen was conferred the Outstanding Singapore Chief Legal Officer Award by the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association.

Mr Matthias Supper

Dr Maxim Afanasyev

Senior Executive in AI and Product Management, with 20+ years of experience and extensive track record in academic research, management consulting, technology and industries.

Maxim is a member of Global Strategic Industries Team at Google Cloud and is responsible for leading Financial Services Industry in Asia Pacific and Japan. In his role, Maxim advises C-levels of major companies in JAPAC on Industry trends and emerging technologies powered by AI and LLM applications. Provide partners, sales and engineering teams with insights on industry needs to ensure Google Cloud brings relevant novel AI capabilities to its clients, and monitor adoption and benefits from these capabilities.

Before joining Google Cloud, Maxim has been leading large global AI engineering and transformation teams to build and deploy innovative AI solutions, deliver AI adoption strategies and unlock business value with new technologies across industries, both as an employee and as a consultant. Most recently as Managing Director in charge of AI products and transformation across 50+ markets at Standard Chartered Bank. Before relocating to Singapore, Maxim worked at McKinsey and Company where he delivered data strategies and AI use cases for clients in Europe and at Royal Bank of Scotland in London, UK as exotic derivatives trader.

Maxim holds a PhD in Operations, Information and Technology from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Started career in AI Research focused on neural networks and evolutionary algorithms.

Mr Michael Sheren

Michael Sheren is a Global leader in Sustainable Finance, Governance and Policy.  He is a Former Bank of England Senior Advisor and G20 Co-Chair of the Sustainable Finance Study Group.  He is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, a Senior Advisor to the UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub and a member of the Group of Experts on sustainable governance at the World Economic Forum. Michael is an experienced corporate Non-Executive Director and has over 25 years of experience in global Investment banking based in New York and London.

Michael holds master’s degrees from Harvard University, the London School of Economics and New York University and an Undergraduate degree from the George Washington University.

Mr Mike Tan

Mike joined Standard Chartered as Managing Director and Global Head, Wealth Planning & Family Advisory in September 2023. Prior to his banking career, which spans over 20 years, Mike was practicing as a legal advisor with an international law firm in Singapore. He has had extensive experience in corporate as well as international tax and planning matters.

After his legal stint, Mike joined several private banks in Singapore and Hong Kong. Most recently, he was Executive Director at J.P. Morgan N.A. Singapore’s Wealth Advisory practice. His main focus has been to provide and deliver holistic wealth planning products and solutions for ultra-high net worth clients in the Greater China region. He regularly works with clients, families and family offices on trust structures, cross border tax issues, estate and succession planning, family governance and philanthropy. Mike was also with J.P. Morgan Hong Kong from 2008 to 2010.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan N.A. Singapore, Mike was a Director with the Wealth Planning team in Credit Suisse Trust Limited, Singapore. In his role, Mike covered clients from the Greater China region and worked closely with them on key areas such as succession and estate planning, trust issues and multi-jurisdictional tax issues.

Mike is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Singapore. He is also admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He completed his legal education in the National University of Singapore.

Mr Neil Samir Mascarenhas

Neil Mascarenhas is an ESG and sustainable investing practitioner with deep experience in sustainability across asset management and insurance in Asia. He is currently Head of ESG & Sustainable Investing at FWD Group, where he leads ESG strategy and sustainable investing at Group level, embedding climate and broader sustainability considerations into investment decision making and core business priorities.

Prior to joining FWD Group, Neil Mascarenhas led the Asia Sustainable Investing Platform at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and NN Investment Partners in Singapore, working with investment teams, clients and stakeholders on ESG integration, stewardship and sustainability related themes. Earlier, he spent over a decade as an equity analyst and fund manager in Hong Kong and India, including co managing Asia ex Japan ESG equity strategies and multi asset portfolios, and contributing to the development of ESG investing frameworks used in research and portfolio construction.

As a member of the teaching faculty at the Wealth Management Institute (WMI), Neil Mascarenhas helps participants translate sustainability concepts into real world investment thinking—covering sustainable investment approaches, ESG advisory considerations, and the implications of climate change and decarbonisation for portfolios.

Alongside his investment and teaching work, he contributes to the sustainability ecosystem through industry engagement and dialogues, and maintains a longstanding personal interest in themes including water and nature related topics.

Neil Mascarenhas is a CFA Charterholder, a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA®) and holds an MBA in Capital Markets. He has also lived and worked across key Asian financial centres.

Mr Peter Triggs

Peter Triggs is a Tax, Trust and Wealth Planning veteran with more than 30 years’ experience across Asia, The Middle East and Europe. He is now a Partner in 1291, (a wealth structuring and insurance business) lectures in Wealth Planning at the Wealth Management Institute in Singapore, and has his own consulting company.

In previous capacities, Peter served as:

• Managing Director, Head of Regional Wealth Planning, and Head of International, Private Banking, DBS Private Bank in Singapore.

• Deputy CEO and Head of International Private Banking at Bank of China (Suisse) in Geneva.

• Managing Director, in various positions within Citibank Private Bank in London, Jersey, Geneva, Zurich and Singapore including:
  • Head of Citi Private Banking in Singapore and Malaysia
  • Head of Trust and Insurance in Asia

Prior to this, Peter was a Tax Principal for Deloitte in their London office. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Chartered Tax Advisor in the UK, a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is qualified in Insurance and Investments in Singapore. He has an Honours degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Birmingham.

Mr Rob Coombes

Rob was appointed the Chief Compliance Officer, Affluent Coverage, Private and Priority Banking from 1st February 2021. This position is located in Singapore and includes responsibility for regulatory compliance, including financial crime compliance, across Standard Chartered’s Affluent business. From February 2018 Rob was the Global Head of Compliance & Financial Crime Compliance for Private Banking.

Prior to this role, Rob was the Global Head, Financial Crime Compliance, Corporate & Institutional Banking, Commercial Banking and Client & Product Risk Frameworks, based in Singapore where he was responsible for the identification and mitigation of financial crime risks, such as AML, CTF, ABC and FC risk framework for products, across the Bank.

Rob has worked at Standard Chartered for over 24 years in a variety of Compliance roles located in UK, Singapore, Thailand and China covering a variety of segments and products at the country, regional and global level. Prior to SCB, Rob was at The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.

Rob has a deep knowledge of compliance, regulatory risk, financial crime compliance and a bank’s products and services, having spent over 30 years in this discipline.

Rob is a Singapore Permanent Resident and has a Masters degree in Financial Services Regulation from London University.

Mr Simon Lo

Simon Lo is the Chief Executive Officer, International Business of Charles Monat Associates, based in Singapore. Simon began his career as an Assistant Attorney General with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. His duties include advising the State’s Department of Labor and Industries on regulatory matters and litigating civil cases in state court. Simon later entered private practice with an esteemed law firm where he excelled as a defense litigator. He has represented multinational corporations such as Walmart and ExxonMobil.​ Simon later joined one of the oldest life insurance brokerage firms in the United States as Vice-President & General Counsel, Asia Pacific. Simon was responsible for building business operations in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent. He also advised high net worth individuals and corporate clients throughout Asia and Middle East on matters related to personal estate planning, business succession strategy, executive compensation, and life insurance solutions.

Simon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and East Asian Studies from the University of Toronto, St. George. He went on to complete his Juris Doctorate degree from Michigan State University College of Law and served as a clerk to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Since 2014, Simon has partnered with the Wealth Management Institute of Singapore to train financial professionals and graduate students on the subjects of life insurance solution and estate planning. In 2018 he was invited to join the Nanyang Technological University (NTU-WMI) as an adjunct professor.

Mr Stephan Chambers

Stephan Chambers is the inaugural director of the Marshall Institute at LSE. He is also Professor in Practice at the Department of Management at LSE and Course Director for the new Executive Masters in Social Business and Entrepreneurship. From 2000 to 2014 he directed the University of Oxford’s MBA and was the founding Director of Oxford University’s Executive MBA programme.

Before joining the Marshall Institute Stephan Chambers was the Co-Founder of the Skoll World Forum, Chair of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Director of International Strategy at Saїd Business School, Oxford University. He is a Senior Research Fellow at Lincoln College, Oxford and a Director of the Documentary Society Foundation. Stephan Chambers wrote a regular entrepreneurship column for the Financial Times and, in 2014, was special advisor to the Skoll Global Threats Fund in California.

Mr T Raja Kumar

Mr T Raja Kumar served as President of the Financial Action Taskforce (FATF) from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2024. His key achievements include driving through major enhancements to the FATF’s Standards on asset recovery and transparency of legal arrangements, which will enable law enforcement to be more effective in the fight against financial crime. Raja also focused global attention on cyber-enabled fraud, with FATF issuing a money laundering typologies report on this area. Significantly, Raja also initiated action to support and develop women leaders in FATF and its Global Network and strengthened FATF’s funding model to better secure FATF’s funding for the long-term.

Raja has also been serving as Senior Advisor (International) in the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) since 26 July 2021. He advises and helps MHA on international policy development, partnerships, and engagements.

Mr Raja Kumar has rich leadership, operational and regulatory experience, having served in MHA and the Singapore Police Force for over 35 years in a wide range of senior leadership roles, including as Deputy Secretary (International and Training) at the Ministry, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Policy), Chief Executive of the Home Team Academy, Director of the Police Intelligence Department, and Senior Deputy Director of the Commercial Affairs Department. He also served as pioneer Chief Executive of the Casino Regulatory Authority and put in place a robust regulatory framework for the new casinos in Singapore, including for AML/CFT, benchmarked against top-tiered jurisdictions. Mr. Raja was awarded the Public Administration Gold, Silver and Bronze medals by the Singapore Government for his contributions and leadership. He was also awarded the National Order du Merit by the French Government in 2017, carrying the rank of Knight.

Mr Raja Kumar holds a LLB (Hons.) degree from the National University of Singapore, and a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil. Criminology & Law) degree from Cambridge University. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University in 2006.

Ms Wendy Sim

Wendy is a Managing Director at ZEDRA Group, with nearly three decades of experience working for global financial institutions and private banks with expertise within the Trust, Wealth Structuring and Fiduciary sectors. She also has expertise in advising and establishing philanthropy related structures.​

In previous capacities, she served as a Senior Consultant, Global Wealth Structuring at Citigroup Private Bank from 2000 to 2004, and as the Head of multiple segments at Private Wealth Solutions, HSBC Trustee Singapore, HSBC Private Bank from 2004 to 2016.​

Wendy holds a LLB (Hons), Law, from the National University of Singapore and was a former lawyer, specialising in trust litigation and structuring during her time in legal practice. She is qualified as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore, holding a TEP qualification and is a past Treasurer of the Singapore Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
