This comprehensive programme equips compliance, legal, audit, and risk professionals with the advanced skills required to navigate today’s increasingly complex financial crime landscape. Designed to address emerging threats and evolving regulatory priorities, this programme combines foundational concepts with applied learning to deepen participants’ abilities to identify, mitigate and manage financial crime risks across the financial sector.
Participants will gain a strong understanding of key financial crime typologies, Singapore’s regulatory framework, and global best practices. The curriculum blends strategic concepts with hands-on application, enabling professionals to design effective control frameworks, enhance monitoring and surveillance functions, and leverage technology to improve detection and decision‑making.
This Advanced Certificate will a comprehensive and integrated approach to financial crime risk management, covering AML/CFT regulations, fraud and cyber-enabled crime, sanction requirements and trade-based money laundering risks. Together, the modules form a structured learning pathway that builds a holistic understanding of financial crime risk management. The programme is designed to be flexible yet cohesive, allowing participants to undertake modules individually or as a bundled Advanced Certificate to deepen expertise in a focused, coherent manner.
Delivered by experienced industry practitioners, the programme features interactive discussions, real-world case studies, and practical exercises. Assessments emphasise real-world applicability, ensuring that learners can translate classroom learning into operational effectiveness. Upon successful completion, participants will be well-positioned to enhance their organisation’s risk posture, enhance financial crime defences, and meet rising regulatory expectations with confidence.
AML and Financial Crime Compliance
Financial Crimes Compliance is a key focus area for regulators locally and globally with significant fines and penalties applied. This module will provide participants with an understanding of Singapore regulations, overview of key financial crime risks and design of financial crime programmes including in the context of a changing technological landscape. The Compliance function also serves to provide challenge and independent oversight through robust compliance monitoring and surveillance. Participants will be able to design, establish and operate effective and efficient monitoring and surveillance programmes and control processes leveraging the use of technology.

Fraud, Scams and Cyber-enabled Financial Crime
This module is designed to equip learners with essential knowledge and skills to detect, prevent, and manage frauds, scams, and cyber-enabled financial crimes within the financial services industry. Emphasising real-world application, the course will leverage complex case studies and practical scenarios tailored to Singapore’s evolving regulatory landscape. Participants will deepen their understanding of fraud typologies, explore regulatory expectations, and gain strategies to foster a culture of fraud awareness across their organisations.

Sanctions, Trade-based Money Laundering Risks and Controls
This module is crafted to equip experienced officers with deeper expertise in managing sanctions and Trade-based Moneylaundering risks. Participants will engage with real-world case studies, ranging from straightforward to complex scenarios, to build analytical and practical skills essential in a global regulatory environment, with a focus on the financial services landscape in Singapore. Through interactive discussion and hands-on exercises, this course will provide insights into global and local sanction frameworks, TBML typologies, risk controls, and the communication of risk frameworks across the organisation.

This programme is designed for Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Audit professionals, as well as individuals in the first and 1.5 lines of defence who aim to strengthen their capabilities in managing financial crime risks. It is also suitable for external lawyers and consultants who support financial institutions on matters relating to financial crime, regulatory, and compliance.
