Dr Neo Boon Siong
Dr Neo Boon Siong retired from the Nanyang Technological University as the CANON Endowed Chair Professor and twice served as Dean of the Nanyang Business School. He served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Singapore Navigators and is an independent Director of Chip Eng Seng Ltd. He was previously Chairman of k1 Ventures Ltd and Director on the Boards of OCBC, Great Eastern, OUE Hospitality Trust and other listed companies.
Dr Neo received a Public Administration Medal (Silver) from the President of the Republic of Singapore in the 1999 National Day Honours Awards and is the lead author of the best-selling book on Dynamic Governance: Embedding Culture, Capabilities and Change that was launched by Singapore’s President SR Nathan in July 2007.
With 40 years of professional experience, Dr Neo is a leading expert in public sector governance, business strategy, process management and organizational change. His paper on Business Process Innovation won the Best Overall Paper Award in the 1993 IT Works conference and his book on Exploiting IT for Business Competitiveness was a recipient of the Highly Commended Award in the 1996 Singapore Book Awards.
Dr Neo is a Chartered Accountant (Singapore) and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from the National University of Singapore, and MBA and PhD degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
