The Advanced Diploma in Finance and Markets is specially designed to help senior delegates and leaders of Asian financial regulators and central banks to advance their knowledge and expertise across core and leading edge subject areas in finance, to better navigate the evolving global financial markets landscape. The programme comprises modules led by senior academic and industry practice faculty across a series of domain areas, and encourages the exchange of best practices across jurisdictions.
The curriculum for the Advanced Diploma in Finance and Markets includes 5 modules covering the latest financial market trends and timeless principles. It also features a signature Capstone Project on Leading in a Future Economy, where participants will have the opportunity to work with and be guided by mentors and advisors.
Participants who successfully complete all modules and Capstone Project will be awarded the Advanced Diploma in Finance and Markets.
Graduation Criteria
Participants will need to complete all modules with a minimum passing rate of 50% within the maximum period of 3 years from date of admission
This module provides a robust and effective platform for exchanges on the ESG financial and regulatory ecosystem. Participants will learn about green financial solutions, markets and services as well as understand how to make sense of the new developments in climate risk management. Participants will also delve into sustainable finance products, as well as the various principles for determining, assessing and managing environmental and social risks in projects.
This module brings together officials from central banks and regulatory agencies in Asia and Singapore to facilitate shared learning on economic and investment principles in dynamic and volatile markets. The programme covers the underlying driving forces behind cycles and markets, navigating financial bubbles and crises, and providing an overview of investments across different asset classes. The curriculum also covers market principles based on the decades of research and experience of Ray Dalio, Founder of Bridgewater Associates and one of the world’s foremost investors, entrepreneurs and thinkers.
This module addresses current and emerging financial crimes risks and threats particularly in a post pandemic age, and the impact of digitisation and digitalisation. Participants will learn about opportunities and challenges that new technologies, AI and data science bring to facilitate combatting financial crimes and fraud and solve data sharing and privacy issues.
This module provides participants with an understanding of geopolitical concepts, frameworks, historical developments and contemporary issues, and why these present important considerations for decision making. Integrating global, regional and country perspectives, this course will equip participants with the skills to critically analyze geopolitical issues and challenges faced by Asian financial regulators and market players today. Participants will also gain an understanding of the interdependencies across countries and the various factors that lead to cooperation or conflict.
The module delves into initiating different models of central bank-issued digital currencies and their potential role in shaping future international settlement networks, and explores the implications of non-traditional financial service players. It addresses the importance of evaluating the balance between nurturing innovation and ensuring financial systems’ safety, soundness, and integrity.

This programme is pending accreditation by the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF). When accredited, Singaporeans and Permanent Residents will be eligible for funding support of up to 70% course fee subsidy under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS).
