Led by senior leaders from Singapore’s financial services sector, the Certified Compliance Officer Programme delivers hands-on, practitioner-led training, real-world insights, and peer engagement to help you navigate today’s evolving regulatory landscape.
You will build essential capabilities in compliance fundamentals, risk management, ethics, and data privacy — all core to thriving in any compliance role. The programme consists of four modules: three compulsory foundation modules and one specialist module of your choice from three options.
WMI Compliance certifications are cited as preferred qualifications by hiring managers.

Each module covers different topics and subject matters. They can be taken individually or together, to cater to the varying focus and interests of each firm, talent and professional. Participants must complete a total of 4 modules – 3 compulsory modules and 1 specialist module out of the 3 possible options. A participant who passes all 3 compulsory modules and 1 specialist module will be awarded the Certified Compliance Officer certification.
Foundation Compliance – Risks, Ethics and Culture — 27 January 2026
This foundational module is designed to equip both new entrants to the financial industry and professionals transitioning into compliance roles with the essential knowledge, mindset, and tools to succeed in today’s regulatory environment. Accredited at IBF Level 1, the module provides a strong starting point for building compliance capability across a range of roles and experience levels.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the purpose and value of compliance, and how ethics, risk awareness, and organisational culture work together to safeguard the integrity of financial institutions. Through case-based learning and real-world scenarios, the course introduces key concepts in conduct risk, ethical decision-making, and regulatory expectations in Singapore’s financial services sector.

Foundation Compliance Policy — 10 February 2026
The Foundation Compliance Policy module provides participants with the practical knowledge and foundational skills to develop and implement effective compliance policies aligned with Singapore’s regulatory requirements. Accredited at IBF Level 1, it is designed for individuals who are new to compliance or taking on policy-related responsibilities within financial institutions.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the regulatory landscape in Singapore and learn how to translate regulatory requirements into well-structured, fit-for-purpose compliance policies. The course also covers how to assess compliance risks and ensure that policies and procedures are aligned with evolving regulatory expectations and internal governance frameworks.

Ethics, Regulations and Compliance – Financial Products & Regulations — 10 February 2026
This concise e-learning module introduces participants to key regulatory frameworks governing financial products, their distribution, and the conduct of related financial services activities in Singapore. Designed for professionals who need to understand the regulatory context of product offerings, the module provides essential knowledge of the laws, regulations, and ethical standards applicable across different financial segments.
Participants will learn about the features and associated risks of commonly offered financial products, and the rules that govern how these products are marketed and sold. This module is ideal for individuals working in product distribution, advisory, compliance support, or anyone seeking foundational understanding of product-related regulatory obligations.

Foundation Financial Crime Compliance — 27 March 2026
This module provides new and junior professionals with a strong foundation in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills to understand and manage financial crime risks in the financial services sector. Accredited at IBF Level 1, it is designed to support those starting in roles related to anti-money laundering (AML), countering the financing of terrorism (CFT), sanctions compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, fraud, and proliferation financing.
Participants will gain clarity on the regulatory expectations, legal frameworks, and compliance functions involved in detecting and preventing financial crime. The course also covers key FCC processes such as customer onboarding, due diligence, transaction screening, monitoring, and surveillance — enabling participants to apply foundational FCC practices confidently in their roles.

Foundation Regulatory Compliance — 1 April 2026
This module provides participants with a foundational understanding of the regulatory environment that governs Singapore’s financial services industry. Accredited at IBF Level 1, the course is designed for individuals new to regulatory compliance or professionals in adjacent functions who require working knowledge of relevant laws, frameworks, and supervisory expectations.
Participants will explore key financial products, services, and market intermediaries, while gaining insights into core legal and regulatory requirements — including codes of conduct, compliance frameworks, and enforcement principles. The course helps learners build a clear mental model of how financial regulations are structured and applied in practice.
