The Climate Finance Programme is specially developed by WMI to equip policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, and eco-system players to understand and shape the role of climate finance in realising net-zero in their jurisdictions and across Asia.
This leading-edge programme provides policymakers with knowledge, capabilities and networks to support sustainable finance initiatives, accelerate low carbon transitions, manage climate impact and ensure a just transition.
The programme also brings select industry players to the table by way of guest speaker, panel and industry engagement sessions, recognising that public-private partnerships affect meaningful climate action. This facilitates mobilising of resources to support the transition to a sustainable low carbon economy, enabling the development and implementation of policies that attract investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate initiatives.
The Climate Finance Programme equips participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate the evolving landscape of climate finance and its critical role in sustainable development.
Over the course of the programme, participants will gain a deep understanding of climate finance theories and applications for corporations and financial institutions, explore transition planning and carbon markets, and develop the ability to analyse and present strategic cases.
Through a hands-on group project focused on real-world regions or organisations, participants will apply their learning to address practical challenges and solutions. The programme also provides insights into policy analysis and financial innovation, preparing professionals to lead in this dynamic and impactful field.
This programme, available by invitation only, is intended for Senior Officials, Policymakers, Central Bankers, Financial Services Regulators and high potential staff who are active in areas of environmental and sustainable finance. An interview may be requested.
