Programme Overview

This course introduces learners to key concepts and strategic approaches for investing for family offices, based on the market principles developed by global macro investor Ray Dalio, Founder and CIO Mentor of Bridgewater Associates. Learners will explore core concepts such as economic cycles, building strong alpha and beta portfolios in a family office context, selecting and building a portfolio of good fund managers, portfolio risk management and designing family office investment teams.

This course strongly emphasises real-world applications for family offices, with case studies, interactive sessions and practical tools. Learners will gain insights on how to navigate market volatility, invest through economic cycles, and make informed, data-driven investment decisions through a fundamental, systematic and diversified approach.

By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to optimise portfolio performance, safeguard assets, and position their family office for long-term, multi-generational growth.
